OCTACHRON excels in its specialization of in-depth MIDI sequencing. It allows the user to control their favorite iPad drums instruments like Blip Box, Ruismaker, or MV08, as well as synths such as Zeeon or Model D. The app can also be used to control any other MIDI instrument, whether hardware or software-based. Please note that iOS 12 or a later version is required for compatibility. If using OCTACHRON with a host software, ensure that it supports the MIDI AudioUnit standard.

The app also features a smart randomizer that allows for intelligent pattern randomization. Users can configure the randomization settings per track and even mutate internal and CC modulation parameters. The parameter lock functionality allows for precise control over velocity, MIDI CC modulation, trigger probability, trigger condition, and MIDI CC on every step. Users can also customize MIDI note assignments for each track or use mapping presets. Individual track lengths can be set to create polyrhythms.

OCTACHRON offers robust connectivity options, allowing users to sequence other standalone apps, AUv3 AudioUnits, or external hardware via MIDI.
